Erase Data on an Old PC

1) BEFORE ANYTHING IS DONE TO YOUR COMPUTER!!!
COPY THE CONTENTS TO A DISC!!!
Save the disc until your totally surely absolutely postive you will not need any info from its contents! Then my suggestion to people giving away their old puter is to remove all memory hardware and destroy it. Memory technology is constantly improving and most likely if the puter is even worth rebuilding, the hardware would be upgraded anyway.
As for erasing info securely, I’ve used Webroot Window Washer for years and it has done a great job.It even comes with a drive cleaner. Check it out

An Amereica based firm but you can buy online .
It fully erases any thing you delete and scambles the data so you cannot recover it . Even govt agencies with their equipment cannot do it.
Easy to use and understand too .

Therefore if you erase all your data .use TRAckseraser ,then re- format that really should do the trick .
